Rajat Subhra Das received his B.Sc. in chemistry from Sree Gopal Banerjee College under The University of Burdwan in 2004. He joined Indian Institute of Technology Madras under the supervision of Dr. N.N.Murthy for a M.Sc. in chemistry(2006). He joined the Burdette group in fall 2006 to work on fluorescence sensors for iron.
