Ph.D., M.S. University of Connecticut (Inorganic Chemistry)

B.S. Fairfield University (Chemistry and Political Science)

Courses: General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry

My teaching duties in the Department include General Chemistry (122, 127, 128 and in the Fall of 2006, Chemistry 124, 125 and 126). My primary interest is in working with students, both undergraduate and graduate, and working with developing problem-solving skills. My own career has taken me from chemistry to information technology and IT administration and back to chemistry again - well, almost; I haven't quite shaken the information technology part of my interest, as I am the Department's network administrator and webmaster

I maintain a keen interest in chemistry - and in science and technology, though it is in working with people that I find the most satisfaction. That includes the students, faculty and staff at UConn Chemistry. The students in particular with whom I have worked over the years have probably taught me the most about how to teach, and about how to integrate the concepts of chemistry and technology into a holistic framework for teaching.
