Equipment Access Guide
a. Equipment owned and maintained by a chemistry department faculty member, and available for use by other research groups by permission.
b. Equipment operated by a trained technician or graduate student, and access is restricted to individuals who have been trained to use the equipment.
c. Consumables (solvents, pre-packed cartridges, columns, etc.) must be provided by the user.
d. Equipment in the Institute of Material Sciences is available to all members of the polymer program, and to other chemistry graduate students by formal request. See the Institute of Materials Science for more information.
e. Equipment available through the Center for Open Research Resources and Equipment. Normally, the equipment is operated by trained technicians. Hands-on use is restricted to those who have received appropriate training and by permission of the facility director. See the Center for Open Research Resources and Equipment for more information.
f. Equipment in the Analytical/Physical Laboratory is departmental instrumentation and is available to all chemistry faculty.
