Research Interests
We are a synthetic inorganic, organometallic and organic group interested in the development of new small molecules and ligands. We are particularly interested in synthesizing molecules that emit light. We study the coordination chemistry of the lanthanides, transition metals, and actinides, and evaluate the photophysical properties of the corresponding complexes. We are specifically interested in molecules emitting circularly polarized light (chiral light), a next-generation light that has promising applications in enhancing optical displays, bio-imaging, and quantum communications.
