The 2024 UConn Open House Weekend will be held in-person Friday, March 1 - Saturday, March 2, 2024. We invite all interested admitted graduate students to attend!

During the weekend, students learn about the academic and research options within the department, and meet with faculty and current graduate students, and explore the UConn Storrs campus!

Friday, March 1st

12:00 PM - CLAS Graduate Student Luncheon

2:00 PM - Meeting with Current Graduate Students

5:00 PM - Dinner & Social event with current UConn Faculty & Graduate students

8:30 AM - Breakfast

9:00 AM - Welcome to UConn: Dr. Christian Brueckner, Department Head

9:15 AM - Brief overview of the Chemistry Graduate Program: Dr. Alfredo Angeles-Boza, Chair, Graduate Committee

9:30 AM - Graduate Student Research Talks

11:00 AM - Individual meetings with Faculty

12:30 PM - Graduate Student Poster Session & Lunch - Chemistry Atrium 1st floor

2:00 PM - Individual meetings with Faculty

4:00 PM - Building Tours, Instrument Tours, and Campus Tours: Chemistry Atrium 1st Floor

5:45 PM - Meet in the Chemistry Atrium to walk to the banquet

6:00 PM - Banquet- Wilbur Cross Reading Room (casual attire)

9:00 PM - Depart for Home/hotel
